The Association is governed by its members who elect a Board of Directors consisting of eleven officers: President, Vice President, Secretary, Treasurer, Assistant Secretary-Treasurer and six Trustees. The executive board is elected to office for one year. Its members can serve in the same office for a maximum of two consecutive terms.j
Each member of the Board of Trustees serves a term of three years. The 11-member Board manages the Association and adopts policies and procedures for its benefit.

AS A MEMBER of the Guyana Association of Georgia Executive Board and Chairpersons, I pledge myself to:
- Maintain the highest standard of personal conduct
- Attend meetings regularly and punctually. Support all projects
- Promote and encourage the highest level of ethics within the Association
- Maintain loyalty to the Association
- Maintain the confidentiality of privileged information entrusted or known to me by virtue of my office
- Recognize and discharge my responsibility and that of the Association to uphold all the laws and regulations relating to the Association's policies and activities
- Strive for excellence in all aspects of management of the Association
- Refuse to engage in, or countenance, activities for personal gain at the expense of the Association
- Cooperate in every reasonable and proper way with other association executives, and work with them in the advancement/recognition of the Caribbean Community
- Use every opportunity to improve public awareness and understanding of the role of the Association
